Keeping Your Hormones Balanced

Hormones are the most powerful messengers in the body. They are chemical messengers that tell the body what to do and they can make you feel poorly or feel fantastic. Your energy, mood, weight, sleep and virtually all your body functions depend on how well you balance your hormones.

As you age so do your hormones, these levels fluctuate due to many reasons such as aging, poor gut health, high stress levels, unhealthy lifestyle choices, poor sleep, nutrient-deficiencies and environmental toxins, just to name a few.

Attempting to put synthetic hormones into your body may have a reverse effect. With an initial feel-good response, it can rapidly increase your risks of other illnesses. Instead we must allow the body to naturally make these hormones, keeping them perfectly balanced using our master hormone glands and our liver.

How do you reset your Hormone Glands when it goes off balance?

The first step is to Remove the fake hormones.
These bring confusion to the body and throws it off balance.

  1. Change all plastics to Glass, Ceramic or Food-grade Stainless Steel products.
  2. Change the quality of your daily clothes from Polyester to natural fabrics like Cotton, Linen, Wool or Silk.
  3. Read labels on your everyday products such as toothpaste, deodorants, perfumes and cosmetics. Say no to chemicals or reduce them.

The second step is to Support your hormone glands.
Find necessary nutrients in real, whole and clean food.

  1. Avoid high fat and processed foods in extensively farmed animal products
  2. Avoid non-organic fruits and vegetables. Chemical residues in soil can produce unsuitable crops for human and animal consumption.
  3. Fill the nutrient loss in your food with high quality supplements. Look out for vitamins, minerals and herbs that you need.

The third step is to Guard your sleep.
The common misconception is that sleeping long is good enough. With some healthy habits in place aided with natural supplements, expect a deeper and more restful quality of sleep.

  1. Develop a healthy bedtime routine. Keep the bedroom lights dim, practice deep breathing exercises (be present in the moment and relax) and watch what you eat or drink before sleep.
  2. Exercise weekly. Different types of exercises can relieve stress, allowing our body to crave sleep.
  3. Take natural supplements such as Vitamin D, Zinc and more, to improve further sleep quality.
